Comments about Hooker Furniture Woodbury Entertainment Set in Rich Espresso:
We purchased all 7 components and are very happy with the result. The unit has a rich look and feel. While not the least expensive unit for this purpose, fit and finish of components is very good. The color was as expected, but I considered this to be the riskiest part in the purchase.
The combined weight is heavy and setting all the pieces in place requires muscle. The weight contributed to minor damage somewhere along the route to our family room: my guess while being unpacked by the delivery crew.
If your TV is more than 50 inches diagonally, you will not be able to use the display cabinets or bridge which is unadjustable, or back panel, but all pieces can be purchased individually.
I was impressed with the versatility in setting up the center console with glass or wood door panels. The center speaker cabinet (w/ included cloth grill) is narrow, so most center speakers will need to be turned on end to fit after removing the shelf. Doors and drawers operate smoothly.
This unit compliments a room where you expect guests to not only view audio visual media, but other items you wish to display with some protection. I would make the purchase again after our experience.
