I use this Wood Technology storage for my DVD collection. I have a larger, separate spinning storage unit for my CDs. I wanted this size (38") because it was a sufficient size for my existing and future DVD storage needs, and because it is a good height to use as a plant stand. It doesn't turn quite as freely on thick carpet as it does on smooth surfaces but that has not been a problem. It is perfect for holding a large collection in a minimum of floor space.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Having invested in many media storage units, I stumbled across this Wood Technology Tower. I was a little worried about the cost of this tower relative to others, but the images on the site hinted that this was a good quality product - I was not disappointed. The tower spins well fully loaded. I also own one of those Leslie Dame media cabinets, and feel that this product is superior. I highly recommend this to those looking for a good quality media storage tower.
