I bought these stands to go with an expensive new entertainment center that is also cherry and hoped they would look good, not cheap. I am very pleased with the quality of the stands: very nice finish, reasonably sturdy, classy-looking. The hidden cable guide is very useful and works with a thick gauge speaker cable. I have them installed on carpet and have fairly heavy but small speakers (6" 2-way) on them; they are stable with the carpet spikes on the base, but could be knocked over a little easier than I'd prefer--perhaps a concern if you have small children or big dogs. I also wish the mounting plate for the speaker was a bit larger than the 5.5", but smaller than the 16" stands' 10" plate. Assembly is required but is quite easy with a screwdriver (and small wrench if you install the carpet spikes). All in all, though, these perform as required and look quite elegant with our other furniture.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was very fast. The stands come in a surprisingly small, flat box that is tightly packed to avoid damage. I was fully pleased with the delivery.

Great stands, color/finish is accurate. Sturdy build. Wire channel to hide wiring. I recommend Wood Technology when searching for Entertainment Furniture. Great shopping experience at CSN, [...] I will be back.
