So far it's great. It hides the trash. Right size trash container can be purchased at [...]. The 3 top drawers are great for measuring spoons, small spice bottles, and aluminum foil. The back can be used as a spice rack. Instructions do not say anything about using it that way, but it works out nicely. I did find the instructions not specific enough in some areas. You have to guess what they mean.

I really love this butcher block/trash can hider. It has been extremely useful as extra counter space and to hide the trash can. Unfortunately it was REALLY, REALLY difficult to put together. The instructions were not very clear and it took me and a three of my friends 2 1/2 hours to put together with some adjustments having to be made due to unclear directions. Definitely useful and put together well as long as ur willing to VERY carefully read the instructions and take the time to put it together.

I needed a trash receptacle that would be inaccessible to my dog. This really fills that need. The dog can't get into the trash. But this is also handy for extra storage. I would recommend treating the butcher block with mineral oil right away. I waited a few weeks and small cracks developed in the wood. I painted the cabinet to match my kitchen walls. It was difficult to assemble, but overall I am very happy with this purchase. It is very easy to roll, so I can clean around and under it.
