It looks nice but it doesn't fit any trash can I can find. Drawers too small to be of use. Wheels role too freely. It needs wheel locks. It should have included a trash can that fit.

This butcher block is not only useful, it is also very attractive. I have received so many compliments on it. its construction is sturdy, and makes a great extra counter space. After cutting up food, you can easily clean up mess thanks to built in trash can.

This is a good product given the functionality it provides at its cost point.
Here are some of the problems I ran into during installation:
1. Unclear instructions - It's necessary to read ahead at points during construction to avoid improper alignment of parts.
2. Feeble glue disperser - The glue bottle provided with the install kit has a nasty habit of blowing its top and causing a mess. I recommend using your own wood-glue to avoid a mess.
The other thing to note is that, while it claims to hold "a standard 13 gallon trash can" it was not able to fit either of the 13 gallon trash cans I had in my house. The flange area of each of my cans was too wide to fit. You'll need a very basic can like the one pictured in the product image.
Other than that, this is a solid product.

This item was well worth the purchase and I literally received it within two days of ordering it. Although there were a lot of pieces to put together, it was not difficult and took about two hours altogether. This is a great way to maximize space while hiding the trash can in small kitchen. I would definately recommend this product, it looks nice and is sturdy. The only thing that I wasn't really impressed with was the wood skirt that is around the bottom. It looks very cheap but when it's all put together you don't even notice it. A great inexpensive purchase!!!
