Comments about Venture Horizon Eight Drawer Chest:
Althugh cheaply made, it serves the purpose for which I purchased it. The instructions were very easy to follow and it went together rather easily. Not fine furniture but it looks good.

Comments about Venture Horizon Eight Drawer Chest:
I bought this dresser to use in a walk-in closet that I’m organizing. I selected it because the dimensions were right for this purpose and the price was moderate. However, this junk gives a whole new meaning to the word “cheap.” 1. I expected the laminated particle board to be “laminate.” Silly me. This stuff is a paper cover glued over compressed sawdust. The top, bottom and drawer fronts (1/2 inch thick) are made of it. The inside of the drawer fronts are not finished at all. Picture clothes snagging on it. The dresser top in the box I received was cracked and the legs of one side were not “stapled” properly, so it is not a snug fit.2. There is no bead board to be found. The dresser sides and drawer backs and sides are made of 3/16-inch thick masonite -- that’s less than a quarter inch. The drawer bottoms are a whole 2/16 of an inch. Wow! That might just support two or three sheets of paper.3. The “easy glide” drawer slides are strips of the 3/16-in. masonite stapled to the sides made of 3/16-in. masonite. The bottom drawer sits on the paper-covered sawdust bottom frame.4. The “solid metal cup” handles are really, really cheap plastic. If I saw this piece of trash in a store, I wouldn’t even have considered it. I was going to return it, but it will cost me [$]to do so. So I will assemble it with much reinforcement added and use it in the attic. It was a very expensive mistake.
