Comments about Venture Horizon Black Top Load Media Cabinet:
It took forever to put this cabinet together. The instructions are really confusing, so it's easy to mess something up. The shelving inside the doors is VERY flimsy and the arms do not stay in place. It's not that big of a deal, just irritating. The lock and key were also missing from the parts but I wouldn't use it anyway. There's just a hole where it should be.
I'm glad I bought it despite the cons because of the price and the fact that I don't need multiple shelving units to hold my DVDs (for now). The top load is a nice feature which I'm using to store my video games.

Comments about Venture Horizon Black Top Load Media Cabinet:
I purchased this item last week. It came promptly, and since we were having guests over, we had to have it assembled quickly. My boyfriend is very good at putting things together, but he felt like this item had some poor design. He said the instructions were actually very good. The doors do not meet and there is a 1/4 inch gap between them. The decorative top portion was difficult to put on because when you added another piece, it would make the others pop off. The shelves didn't fit the best, but we made them work. The handles are wooden, which is nice. We were glad we went with the black one, because it is mdf, and the wood would probably be fake looking. It does hold an impressive amount of DVDs. The shelves on the door are not as flimsy as the other reviewer indicated. The side pices are screwed in, it is the shelf in between that you are supposed to super glue. We skipped the glue, and they are still holding the DVDs fine. It is a very streamlined look, but I do wish it had drawers instead of the flip-top, which I saw on another website for a lot more. We have some extra binders of DVDs on top and we have to move them every time we want to get something out of the top. The lock works very well, you could use it as a safe-it is very secure. Overall, for [$]it isn't bad.
Service and delivery comments:
This item was delivered very quickly, only two days! I did have to sign for it which was frustrating. I had to leave work early to make sure I caught the UPS guy. My boyfriend said it was packed very well. There was a small break in the box and we were worried it may have been damaged. It was not damaged at all.

Comments about Venture Horizon Black Top Load Media Cabinet:
I have over 500 DVDs so I thought that this item would be perfect for me. Although the over all concept is great the product itself is a nightmare. For the price that I paid I would have expected better. It was also a huge pain to put together and the directions were so vague. I have only had the the unit less than 4 months and its already falling apart. The shelves on the door are so flimsy. I have already lost 3 shelves because they are held together by super glue. I don't use the unit on a daily basis either. I go in it probably 3 to 4 times a week. If it wasn't such a hassle to put together it would have already been returned but now I feel like I'm stuck with it. I am very unsatisfied with my purchase.

Comments about Venture Horizon Black Top Load Media Cabinet:
If you want lots of media storage in a pretty small space, this is the unit for you. I have a collection of over 500 DVDs and this unit held them all. The only slight negative is that the assembly is pretty involved... although I expected that. The instructions were better than average. There are an abundance of parts and but they were all there and I am pretty "handy" so it wasn't a problem for me.
Comments about Venture Horizon Black Top Load Media Cabinet:
The unit has good storage space and a nice look. The directions need to be a little more clear as to how the pieces go together, and in particular, which side is top and bottom in relation to other pieces you are fitting together.
The one major drawback to the unit is the design of the door shelves for DVD/CD's. They are unfortunately very flimsy and prone to break easily.
