These speaker stands were perfect for my situation. The room for my home theater does not have the perfect wall set up(what room does for most people?) and with these stands I was able to raise them to the height I needed without feeling the speaker would fall off, place them anywhere I want to get excellent surround sound and then put them back against a wall when I am done. There is a way to hide cables, but my cables are pretty big so I don't use the holes in the stands that are provided for that. I would recommend these stands to anyone who tries to follow proper speaker placement guidelines for surround setup, but again, they don't have the correct walls to do so or do not want to put holes in their walls.

These are really sturdy stands best used for surrounds as they telescope up to the correct height with no hassle. They are working out great for me.

Used stands for R/L Back Surround in 7.1 Audio/Home Theater set up. Purchased because of adjustable height. Put grommet on speaker wire before snaking wire up the pole and out the top and it won't be a problem. Run wire through hole in top plate and connect to speaker which makes for a stable solution. Adheisive pads attached to speaker adds to stability. Will be ordering another pair for my R/L surround speakers replacing current stands so hieght can be adjusted. Product was packed expertly with all parts included and the parts fit properly. Something thats hard to find today! Only suggestion for improvement would be option to have the speaker wire hole in top plate moved closer to edge so a larger speaker than my 5.5" x 5.5" could be mounted. All in all a terrific product for what it does.

Well constructed, practical, but not as aesthetically pleasing as higher end stuff (its not bad, just looks a little more industrial that what some would probably like). I did not like the rubber inserts used to cover the cable management hole. They made running and adjusting the cable difficult, and didn't really fit in the hole right--I just left them off.

These speaker stands are awesome. Very well built and durable construction. My Klipsch front speakers are of a large,"heavier than most" design. These stands have no trouble supporting them. Very nice features include cable housing so wires are not exposed to the speaker, adjustable height knob (this feature attracted me the most) and a nice solid base to stabilize and support the height. A very nice product indeed!
