Veneer is very aesthetically pleasing. Quality control is a bit of an issue on this item. The edge of the veneer on the first shelf I looked at could be peeled back with a fingernail as it was slightly raised at the edge. There were a few blemishes on the posts and the VTI logo fell off as it was not adhered to it very well. My biggest issue was one of the legs was welded crooked, and as this stand is constructed they must be square so the spikes fit into the shelf below. Racks and Stands is sending me a free replacement, but it should come and fit right the first time. Hopefully this is a one time issue and my replacement will assembly correctly.

Great Stand. Pretty easy to set up and there is only minor construction involved. The quality of the rack is good, but I did notice some minor flaws in the finish of the caps. Thankfully, I was able to hide those flaws by moving it to the back.
Because the shelves are only supported on 3 points, they could be tipsy if they are not loaded properly. You might also consider the rack with 4 legs.
Overall, I'm still really happy with the purchase. It certainly has got the W.A.F.!

One of the shelves did not fit, so I really only got a 3 tier shelf unit. Other than that it is a decent shelf for the money.

Very pleased with the product! Arrived in perfect condition. This stand is great for use with a heavy amp. Very sturdy and yet attractive.

Best rack I've seen for under $500. Very solid design with adjustable legs; ideal for my turntable. It also holds my heavy vacuum tube gear without a problem. I only wish the legs were sand fillable, but for the money, I know of nothing better.
