Great stand! Exactly what I needed for a 2-channel stereo rig with heavy amps, various components, and a turntable that requires good vibration isolation. This thing is solid and heavy. The glass is very thick and can easily support heavy gear. For the price, I wasn't expecting the glass and overall construction to be this heavy duty but glad that it is. Exceeded my expectations in this regard. I bought this stand as a temporary solution since I knew it would be delivered within the week as opposed to some higher end custom units that need several weeks lead time. I'm so pleased with it that it will likely be a permanent solution rather than temporary. Looks pretty nice too although from the pics the website the posts look like they were finished like brushed or polished metal when in fact they are painted flat gray, which actually isn't too bad. Highly recommended.

This stand is sturdy and beautiful. I have an oversized amp which is 19" wide and had to put it on the top shelf. So be sure to check usable shelf size and that your components measure no more than the advertised usable shelf of 17.5" as the poles occupy part of the shelf beyond that.

Assembly is easy. Be sure to clean the shelves first and to remove the stickers labeling the poles or they will show through the glass. Also, you will find that you need to wait on tightening the posts on the prior shelf before installing the next for alignment purposes.

This is the most attractive and functional unit I could find. The metal posts are painted with a nice smooth and attractive satin finish. The glass shelves are heavy duty and have an attractive bevel on the front.

I would have given this rack a perfect score, except for the unfortunate exception of not handling slightly larger than normal components of more than 17.5" wide (which should not be an issue for most people as most components are 17" or less these days).

The diagram on the instructions is printed upside down for a reason. It would be great if you were told that reason. The reason is it's better to build the thing upside down, but after building the thing and finding it weighs around 100lb I'm not sure building it upside down and trying to right it wouldn't result in a hernia.
After all this is said the thing looks stunning! A real practical piece of furniture that will complement any stereo set up. It is solid as a rock. No danger of anything moving around!

First, these racks are VERY robust, very sturdy. They'll survive an earthquake.Second, the design is flexible so you can use as many shelves as you want. For example, I'm amazed the price of the AGR405 (5 shelf) is the same as the AGR 404 (4 shelf) which are both $120 cheaper than the AGR 406 (6 shelf). Because I wanted two 6 shelf units, I bought three AGR 405 (5 shelf) units and assembled two units together as a pair of 6 shelf towers and have an extra 3-shelf unit off to the side, and the extra cost was only about [$]. So the design of the AGR tower allows you to make unique combinations of the number of shelves you have on your towers as you wish. If there was only one con to these units (and I'm thinking hard here) is that each support tube threads into the tube above it. You have to start tightening each tube from the top of the stack and work your way down, tightening each tube as you go down the stack to ensure the tubes are seated properly. But that's minor. (I put the entire unit upside-down on the rug and tightened each tube going up to have gravity help me, then flipped the entire thing right-side up.) But once assembled, if you can get all the tubes tight, it's as strong as a battleship.

Item was well packed for shipping with no damage upon arrival. Assembly was quite easy with easy to understand instructions. The unit is quite sturdy and that is very important when holding heavy McIntosh equipment. I am very happy with my purchase!
