[...]Instructions were clear and assembly straightforward. If you have assembled [...] furniture, this is the same, but [...] no longer offers pieces this attractive and solid. Solid means heavy - great for stable mounting of CD players and a turntable, and a two-man job to move around, especially when loaded. My amp alone weighs 45 lb, and the turntable 25 lb, but this rack is heavy-duty. I looked long and hard for a large audio rack that was both useful and a nice piece of furniture. This fits both the equipment and the room perfectly, and is the perfect height for putting the turntable on top. (see picture) Only problem for me is that to use the remotes for the components on the bottom, the door has to be open. A solid glass door without the wood frame would probably solve that. R&S has a great selection, while others offer either industrial metal racks or overpriced "custom" wooden storage, R&S has it all.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
