I thought I was buying a good little piece of furniture for storage of small items. [$] The back panel is a cheap plastic put in with staples. The screws to hold the door on were far too small to bite into the door and literally fell out when I unpacked the item. The wood used must be pine and it is a very, very soft pine. It is unfortunate that the maple-colored finish looks like melmac plastic when you get up close to it. From a distance it is nice looking and rich asthetically, but close up is another story! This is not a good bargain at [$]but more like something you might get as a door prize at a Tupperware party.
