If I wanted something to work on and refinish I would have built it myself. This arrived a day before my new TV, so I kept it. I thought it was from a company in California. It is from China. Had I known this I would never have ordered it.

Even though the product description indicates it's solid wood, and it's marked Premium (which also indicates wood construction), the top piece of this entertainment center is particle board. Other than that, it's very nice. It comes with both wood and glass door panels that you can swap out very easily.
