good for the price.Because of it's size and instructions' vagueness it can be easy to assemble sections of this unit backwards. Large sections of the unit assemble with ONLY a cam lock. Making it quite wobbly in the center. This would not be a problem for people who secure it to a wall...I could not since the wall is cement. It stands fine though. Instructions tell you to flip it over on it's front to tack on the cardboard backing - this is nearly impossible because of the poorly secured cam lock sections.

I bought this, because I have a large DVD collection that had spread out through the house. This helps to keep them all together and organized, the way I like them. It was kind of a pain to put together, and I used to assemble things for a large retailer, but it looks nice and works well.

I'm mixed on this product. I bought 2 for my new apartment. They hold a lot of DVDs and they look good, but this is essentially an [...] build-it-yourself type of thing, so you can expect mediocre quality, difficult assembly, but functional and good-looking products for an apartment.Assembly was pretty difficult, but I was able to assemble the first one by myself in about an hour and 45 minutes. I then started assembling the 2nd right after and it took me about an hour. Once I stood the product up, the top half started to teeter and it essentially fell off, leaving me with two half-shelves (NOTE: I still did follow the directions correctly, but something went wrong). I was able to salvage the top half and it looks like a passable, but smaller version of the product. The bottom half was really flimsy, but I was essentially able to salvage that too and make it a functional shelf, but it didn't look good (no wood on top, some of the shelves didn't fit right). I was able to saw, sand and stain a piece of wood myself to create a functional top for this portion of the product. So it now looks good, but instead of one big DVD shelf, I now have 2 functional, but unintentional smaller DVD shelves. The one I built correctly still looks good though. PROS: It holds a lot of DVDs and the one I put together properly looks great.CONS: It's pretty hard to assemble and even when following the directions, it might not come together as you planned, so you'll have to improvise, like I did. It's definitely not worth the price, but it may work for what you're looking for.
