I rearranged a couple of rooms and needed to move my CD collection to my living room, therefore needed a more attractive storage unit. This is very nice looking and compact, and I like that. The unit was very hard to assemble, mainly because the back "wall" is actually two pieces that fit into slots along the center piece (if that makes sense). You need three hands to put this together. On the side that has the slots for CD, the pieces don't fit together quite right, so in a couple of spots, the CDs don't stay in their slots. It's not bad enough that I'll return it, but I'm a little dissapointed.

I ordered this storage cabinet since I moved the stereo to the living room and needed something a little more formal looking. This unit was not easily assembled. The back wall is actually two pieces that connect to the center divider. That essentially meant introducing three pieces of the puzzle at the same time, and it was challenging, but we did it. That was the hardest part. Otherwise, it was a pretty simple process, and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The pieces do not all fit together perfectly. Some of them are off ever-so-slightly. This does not significantly affect the way the cabinet looks after it is assembled. Be sure to use the shims they provide as the last assembly step – they keep the cabinet from being rickety. The storage bin on the left with the slots for the CDs – this section has problems in the middle – the slots are just a tad too wide to hold the CDs in place. Above and below, everything is fine, but in the middle, the CDs are in a bit of a pile that looks a little sloppy. It's possible that we can make an adjustment that will alleviate this situation, but we haven't tried yet. Despite this, I'm not returning the cabinet. It's otherwise very nice, the perfect size for my space, and it's pretty sturdy.

If the back piece were stronger, the unit would be less wobbly and would be the perfect storage solution for my small space. I wouldn't mind paying more for a stronger unit.
